Hi, I'm Chloe Bowmar - owner of Chloe's Canine Club. I'm 26 years old and friends and family would describe me as a bubbly, animal obsessed, caring person. I love nature and the outdoors, hiking, going to the gym, and going to music gigs. My favourite kind of day is a long hike with friends, their dogs and my beautiful rescue Labrador, Duke, followed by lunch in a nice café or pub. 

From a young age, I have always had an affinity with animals. This has followed me in to my adult life and led me to study a two year Animal Management (OFQUAL) level 3 course to a distinction level. Here I learnt about the care and welfare of different animal species. Following this, I moved in to working with dogs and cats professionally.

I have spent 5 years working as a supervisor in a large, well-respected dog and cat boarding facility, where I have gained even more practical knowledge on pet nutrition, group mixing, social dynamics, canine and feline behaviour, health checks and animal handling just to name a few. I am a very confident handler of dogs and cats, and it has been noted that I am especially good with the nervous or anxious dogs - which may be due to having an anxious rescue myself.

In November 2023, I took a 6 month hiatus from my job to go travelling around South East Asia. Despite my plans of continued exploring, after 4 months I was missing working with animals so much, that I ended up finding a wonderful dog and cat rescue sanctuary, called Happy Tails in Thailand, and decided to spend the last 2 months of my trip volunteering there. This was a life changing experience that really challenged my heart and taught me so much. I was rewarded with meeting the most amazing people and the truly beautiful and inspiring animals who will always have a place in my heart.

On returning to the UK and to my animal care job in May 2024, I felt like I had enough experience, knowledge and passion to move on to starting up my own pet sitting and dog walking business. I initially started doing occasional pet sitting and dog walking alongside my full-time job, to test the waters, and in January 2025 I decided to take the leap and start up Chloe's Canine Club full time. I am DBS checked, canine first aid trained and fully insured with pet plan business insurance. I am passionate about providing the best care for your beloved animals and it is truly a joy every day working with people's pets. Chloe's Canine Club reflects my values of personalised care, dedication, hard work, and empathy.
